Favorites:
Woods Tea Company
Combining exceptional music skills with wit & humor, Woods Tea keeps it's audience entertained with Celtic, Bluegrass, Sea Shanties, and folk music. They employ as many as a dozen different instruments from banjos, bezoukis & bodrhans to guitars & tin whistles. A Schroon Lake favorite. Woodstea.net

Dan Berggren
Dan Berggren has been collecting, writing and singing folk music of the Adirondacks for the past 30 years. Growing up in the Adirondack Mountains, Dan has developed a style that captures the spirit of those mountains. His music has been featured nationally on public radio and television, earning praise from near and far. Vermont Public Radio calls Dan's music: "A genuine treasure. Fresh and timeless, full of courage and down to earth richness."

Ed Lowman
Ed Lowman is a multi-instrumentalist and singer. Old-time and Cajun fiddling, bass, guitar, mandolin and carpentry are his trades. In addition to working with a variety of other area artists for many years, Ed has worked as a studio musician on several recordings. He is known for his authentic rendition of early country songs, yodeling like Jimmie Rodgers. For over two decades he has been "our own" Schroon Lake Wednesday night dance coordinator.

Tanglefoot
This group is a thunderous live band with a reputation for spectacular vocal harmonies and adept song writers who specialize in portraying the Canadian experience. At Cafe Lena they pack the house. Website - Tanglefootmusic.com.

Ameranouche
Hot Gypsy Jazz - This group is dedicated to the music of Django Reinhardt and the spirit of Jazz Manouche. They play original music and traditional songs of Cole Porter, Hoagie Carmichal and George Gershwin in the celebrated gypsy jazz form. This music was popular in the early 1920's and combines jazz with the "traveler" gypsy style music. Website - Ameranouche.com

New To Us:
The Barefoot Boys
The Barefoot Boys (Rich Bala, Tom White, and Rick Hill) perform traditional folk music of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson Valley. They also play more recently written songs (by artists such as Pete Seeger, Stan Rogers, Si Kahn, Bill Staines, and John McCutcheon) that reflect the spirit and and recall the sound of the old songs. They've performed extensively around the Hudson Valley and throughout the Northeast and play a wide array of instruments, including guitar, harmonica, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, concertina, and both mountain and hammered dulcimer.

Boréal Tordu
Maine Acadians have been harboring a rich musical culture underground for generations. Now, there is a new music rising up out of Maine steeped in that tradition with a fresh take on familiar ground. Boréal Tordu has played to enthusiastic English and French speaking audiences throughout New England, The Adirondacks in NY, Quebec, and the Canadian Maritimes. They have been featured three times on Maine's 207, NPR, CIFA Radio 104.1 Nova Scotia, WMPG 90.9 Portland, ME, CBC Radio Canada, Lakes Region Radio 94.1 Poultney, VT and Robert Resnick's, All the Traditions on Vermont Public Radio.

Saratoga Faire
Saratoga Faire is known for their acoustic performances of Celtic, folk, old songs and originals. From ballads to high energy instrumentals, they have been in demand at festivals, coffeehouses, art-in-the-park series, libraries, house concerts and other venues. The award-winning musicians (Frank Orsini, Lisa Winne, Jeff Belding, and Jim Lestrange) have been performing and producing recordings for decades in various other bands and incarnations.
