Laurie McIntosh aka Story Laurie has been a storyteller all her life. This became her professional career shortly after moving to the Catskill Mountains a decade ago. She and her husband Ira McIntosh, live 2/3 of the way up Delaware County's highest peak and if there weren't so many stories to tell and so much music to play, they might never come down off the mountain. They often perform together. Laurie herself has delighted hundreds of school, library, nursing home and festival audiences with her dynamic engaging performances. Laurie will present the show, Fun Folk Tales & Tunes, which is a versatile participatory program with traditional tunes, fantastic fables, magical myths, silly songs, playful poems and what ever else her wacky imagination can create. The Thompsons link music and stories together to create an engaging, animated performance rich in texture, mood and character. See www.cmthompson.com
